About Produce at the Homestead

Here at the Homestead we grow only heirloom and organic produce, mostly from locally banked or personally saved seeds. Most of our seeds are either NY or Italian heirloom varieties.
Grown in hand-mixed soil (local organic compost, peat moss, and heavily composted soil from the Catskill Animal Sanctuary) and lovingly tended, our interesting and sometimes very rare varieties have unparalleled taste and freshness.
We also wild forage, and those items are identified in the list by (WF). For herbs whose uses you may be unfamiliar with, this homesteader is a certified herbalist who can make recommendations.
